Jerry wanted to earn money to buy a bike. He planned to mow his neighbor’s lawns for $10.00 each. He added up all the money he thought he would make. He decided he would buy the bicycle he wanted in two months, just before summer break. However, his dad warned him, “Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.”

Mr. Sullivan is always helping people. He helps his neighbors shovel snow in the winter. He is an expert at math, so he helps my brother with his homework. He even takes care of our pets when we go on vacation. My mom always says that Mr. Sullivan has a heart of gold.
